FIFA 21 Demo Cancelled: No demo will be released this year EA confirm

There will be no new FIFA Demo for fans to play this year, with EA confirming that they aren’t releasing a FIFA 21 Demo.

Despite FIFA 21 being made available to a very small percentage of players during the closed beta phase in August, the FIFA 21 demo would have been the first time that the majority of players would have been able to test out the new game for the very first time.

However, it is worth saying that the the gameplay included in the FIFA 21 demo could have differed dramatically to the gameplay that we could eventually see in the final released version of FIFA 21, which is due for release on October 9, 2020.

Of course, players who have pre-ordered the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition or Champions Edition on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC will be able to play from October 6, 2020, whilst EA Play subscribers will be able to play a ten-hour trial of FIFA 21 from October 1, 2020.

But this news will still be a big blow for casual players who had hoped they would get a taste of the game, before deciding whether to actually purchase or pre-order the full game ahead of it’s release date.

In a statement on the official EA SPORTS FIFA Twitter account on Tuesday evening, EA confirmed and explained their decision not to release a FIFA 21 demo.

“We aren’t releasing a demo for FIFA 21,” said the statement.

“Instead we’ve made the decision to focus our development team’s time on delivering the best full game experience for current & next-gen consoles.

“We look forward to EA PLAY members jumping in 10 days from now and launching the game Oct 9.”

Many FIFA plans had speculated on social media that the FIFA 21 demo was due to be released on Tuesday September 22, 2020 at 3pm UK time on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

The FIFA 20 Demo had playable teams such as Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, with playable game modes like 11v11 Kick Off and Volta Football available to play.

But with no demo being released for FIFA 21, the first time most will be able to play the new game will be on release day, which could change slightly depending on the version purchased.

FIFA 21 will be released in the UK and worldwide on October 9, 2020, but some editions will allow you to play FIFA 21 slightly earlier than this.

If you pre-order the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition or Champions Edition on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC you’ll be able to play from October 6, 2020, with the Standard Edition allowing fans to play from the game’s official UK and worldwide release date of October 9, 2020.
