Chrishell Stause’s cryptic post after devastating Justin Hartley divorce
Chrishell Stause is hoping to dance her way past her heartbreak as she joins the other celebs on the Dancing With The Stars ballroom floor.
The Selling Sunset star is one of the big names to be taking part in the US equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing and has admitted she is taking part because she has “nothing to lose” following her heartbreaking split from husband, Justin Hartley.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “I feel equal parts excited and completely terrified. It has been a crazy journey and I would have never imagined this is where I would end up.”
Chrishell won an army of fans on the reality show, which follows the lives of a group of real estate agents as they negotiate huge deals selling some of the most sought after homes in Los Angeles.
For Chrishell it was a return to the small screen after she had starred in the soap operas, Days Of Our Lives and All My Children.
Selling Sunset viewers watched as Chrishell seemed heartbroken following her split from fellow actor, Justin Hartley.
The This Is Us star is said to have broken the news to his wife that he was divorcing her by text message, which he has never commented on, and she was devastated with fellow Selling Sunset stars rushing to comfort her.
The Oppenheim Group’s owner Jason Oppenheim, the firm behind the properties for sale in Selling Sunset, said: “That was one of the most difficult times of her life and now she’s forced to relive it. I can’t imagine how difficult that is.
“Not only on camera, not only when, you know when she watches it, but also when the press, you know, picks every little thing apart. And people have had all their judgments – it is extremely difficult.”
Everything seemed to be fine between Chrishell and Justin until November last year when he filed for divorce.
She said to co-star Amanza Smith: “He text me that we were filed. Forty-five minutes later, the world knew.
“I talked to him right after because I thought that must be a joke. But that was kind of the end of the communication.”
“When I found out, I was minutes before leaving the house for work so I immediately just grabbed a few things and I just got out of there as fast as I could.
“I don’t think I really knew where I was going or what I was going to do, but I just had to leave.”
The actor said the couple had actually split in July – despite them being pictured together at several red carpet events between then and the end of their marriage.
People clais Justin and Chrishell were snapped at Emmy Awards in September, a Veyve Clicquot Polo Match in October and a pre-Golden Globes party in November, just days before their split.
And in December, when it was reported Chrishell had filed for a dissolution of marriage, she posted a very cryptic message on Instagram.
The real estate broker wrote: “It’s hard to watch people change right in front of you. But it’s even harder remembering who they used to be.”
Since their dramatic split, Chrishell has not been short of admirers and she even revealed that she had been on a few dates.
She has also said several very famous fans have been sliding into her DMs following her newly single status.
When Chrishell was quizzed by Entertainment Tonight on if she has received any DMs asking her out, she shared: “I have to say I have had a few, yes.
“Yeah it’s been… I don’t know how to answer that, I feel so weird. But yes, that has been a nice surprise.”
Acting coy, she added: “There’s a few [people you might know], but I’m not going to tell you who.”
And Justin has said he is “happy” and added: “I don’t have anything on my mind. I treat people the way I want to be treated and I have lovely friends who love me and I love them.
“And I’ve got this wonderful daughter, and I’ve got a great family, and I am a very, very lucky, lucky individual.”
