Mauricio Pochettino takes swipe at Tottenham’s All Or Nothing documentary

Mauricio Pochettino has hit out at Amazon for reducing his five and a half years turning Spurs into Champions League regulars to just 25 minutes.

The Argentine, appointed by chairman Daniel Levy in 2014, transformed the club from Europa League also-rans to Champions League finalists and Premier League big-hitters.

But he spoke out after his sterling work, alongside assistant Jesus Perez, received only a brief appreciation in the nine-part docu-series: All Or Nothing.

Speaking in a new podcast, Between The Lines, Pochettino said: “OK, five and a half years (at the club) and we’re only in the scenario for 25 minutes, trying to justify why we left the club.

“But I understand, because it’s a documentary that’s trying to put the club in a good place. The club is not going to open the door to Amazon to create a problem after the documentary.

“I think, it’s difficult to be natural. But I hope they will achieve what they wanted doing this, you know, I think it’s important to show the facilities of the club, the new stadium, the new training ground that we were so involved in helping Daniel to design.

“I still love the fans, I still love the club, and of course, I have a different appreciation for Daniel and the people that work there and the players.

“Jose Mourinho is a very good friend, I wish them all the best and I hope they can achieve some titles that Daniel can enjoy, and, of course, reflects all the effort that we were doing in the past to create the fantastic club that it is today.”

Tottenham got off to a bad start in Mourinho’s first full season in charge as they were beaten 1-0 at home to Everton in their Premier League opener.

Mourinho is now looking to add reinforcements to his squad before the transfer window slams shut, and is closing in on left-back Sergio Reguilon and a sensational return to Tottenham for Gareth Bale.
