TOWIE’s Chloe Sims explains why she ‘had to cut Pete Wicks out of her life’

Chloe Sims and Pete Wicks have spoken about their falling out after not speaking to each other for months.

The return of The Only Way Is Essex has given the chance to explain why they are still feuding and it would seem that the pair are on different pages of the book.

Chloe, 37, fell out with Pete eight months ago, after previously being close friends. She told him at the time that she no longer wanted him as part of her life.

The 31-year-old seems to view it differently to Chloe, worrying that their friendship could be lost forever unless circumstances change quickly.

In Sunday’s episode, Chloe is seen having a socially distanced chat with Olivia Attwood, James ‘Diags’ Bennewith and Liam ‘Gatsby’ Blackwell, in which she spoke out about what happened with Pete.

Addressing the effects of lockdown, Chloe said: “It’s a terrible thing for a lot of people but there has been some positives.

“It brought the families closer together and it’s actually showed me who’s important in my life. ‘Best friends’ who didn’t really give a s***.

“Me and Pete stopped speaking. We had a falling out since the end of January.

“It wasn’t nasty, it was quite calm but I didn’t want to have people around me who aren’t 100 per cent. I just said, ‘I can’t have you in my life anymore.'”

Chloe didn’t reveal the details of what prompting their fallout or what they had been arguing about at the time.

Olivia said: “I’m surprised he didn’t reach out to you during lockdown. He’d normally check in, especially on you, but there you go.”

Chloe replied: “He made me question if I even knew him at all.”

Olivia later had an opportunity to speak to Pete and found out his thoughts on why he was no longer part of Chloe’s world.

Olivia Attwood has listened to both sides of the story

Speaking about the fateful moment, Pete said: “We had a barney and the last thing she said to me was we didn’t need to talk so so be it.

“We’ve been close for so many years and this was the first time we’ve disagreed and I’ve thought, ‘you know what she doesn’t want me in her life.’

“It’s the longest we’ve ever gone without talking.”

Pete is now concerned that their friendship will never be repaired with each day seemingly putting more distance between them.

He continued: “What does worry me, if I do reach out to her and she says f*** off, it’ll hurt me.

“Do I want to save the friendship? Of course I do. Do I think it can be saved? No.”
