TV favourite Stacey Solomon received a bizarre surprise date from boyfriend Joe Swash with a trip to IKEA.
The Loose Women panelist, 30, was delighted as former EastEnders star Joe pulled out all the stops on Friday night as he took her blindfolded to a secret location.
Stacey stepped out of the car as she arrived at her much-anticipated destination to find it was…IKEA.
Sharing a montage of her evening with Joe on Instagram, a blindfolded Stacey was seen looking summery in a floral dress when she stepped out of the car at the Swedish homestore.
Stacey captioned the adventure on her Insta Stories: “Date night I love you Joe Joe but what the heck? it’s honestly been such a long time since we went out just us two…
“And I never imagined our first date night would be a surprise night in Ikea.
“But I have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed myself… I do love you bubs to the moon and stars and back again. You get me.”
The Loose Women star then went on to share a tidbit about their visit to the furniture store.
She continued: “Even though you instantly regretted your decision when you saw the Fejka section I made myself a nice bouquet grabbed a basket I definitely don’t need and a giant pack of Daims.
“And now we are off to get some dinner… I’m guessing it’ll be a McDonald’s the way this nights going Thank you bub.”
The sweet-natured mum-of-three signed off with a nice message for all of her followers.
“Happy Friday everyone… I hope you’re all ok! Love you lots, always.”
The date night came after Stacey discussed the dynamic of having a blended family on Loose Women, with Joe acting as a step-father to Stacey’s oldest sons from previous relationships.
She said on the ITV panel show: “Joe doesn’t feel very comfortable disciplining my boys and if I’m around, I always think that’s my job.
“Joe needs to have that friendly relationship with them.”
