Peter Andre says that his fling with Mel B made him realise he’d been treating women the wrong way.

The Mysterious Girl hitmaker and Spice Girls star were getting together for nine months during the 1990s.

Mel used to secretly fly Peter into wherever she was performing with Spice Girls and once described him as her “booty call”.

But after Mel B left him heartbroken, Pete, who is now married to doctor Emily MacDonagh, realised he had been treating women badly.

Speaking on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories back in 2011, he said: “I really liked Mel but she broke my heart. She treated me like I’d treated other women in the past and she made me grow up.”

They’ve clearly put it all behind them though.

The dad-of-four added: “We’re good friends now and laugh about it. I have only ever slept with one Spice Girl.”

Mel B has also opened up about her relationship with Peter during an interview on Life Stories.

Mel once called Pete her “booty call”

They were getting together in the 90s

She said she had a nine-month fling with Peter during the 1990s.

Piers had put to her: “Peter Andre obviously was your long-time booty call…”

She jumped in: “Please don’t say it like that, he’s a really nice guy.”

They’re still good friends

When reminded that she once described Peter as her “booty call” in an interview, she said: “I know I did, you know why because he wrote about me in his book, and the Spice Girls didn’t know that he was my booty call so I had to explain it to them, that all this time in different hotels I’d have to fly him in and then fly him back out.”

Mel described Peter as a “fantastic lover” and said he was “very polite” as he always asked before he kissed her.

Peter later responded to her comments, saying they Mel B was his “friend for life” and that he had “nothing else to say”.
