Sarah Harding’s ex Chad Johnson says he’s praying for her in cancer battle

Sarah Harding’s ex Chad Johnson has said he’s “praying” for her as she battles breast cancer.

The ex Girls Aloud singer, 38, announced last month that she has been diagnosed with the disease, which has now spread to other parts of her body.

Chad, who briefly dated Sarah after meeting her on CelebrityBig Brother in 2017, said he is hoping to reach out to her to check if she’s doing OK.

His own mum Peggy died from the disease aged 63 after fighting it for seven years.

He told the MailOnline : “It sucks, I am hoping and praying the absolute best for her because I know how difficult the situation can be.

Sarah shared her sad health news online last week

“My mum had breast cancer and it got into her blood and her liver. I know what Sarah is going through, I mean, I have seen it from day one to the very end and I just hope that she can recover.

“I know how rough it is, once you go there there’s no real coming back. You’re always worrying about it. I took care of my mum the whole time.”

Sarah announced the sad news on social media last week.

She shared a picture of herself in her hospital gown as she revealed she’s undergoing chemotherapy.

Sarah said: “There’ no easy way to say this and actually it doesn’t even feel real writing this, but here goes.

“Earlier this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and a couple of weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer has advanced to other parts of my body.

“I’m currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions and I am fighting as hard as I possibly can.”

Sarah has stayed out of the limelight for the last couple of years

She continued: “My amazing mum, family and close friends are helping me through this, and I want to say a thank you to the wonderful NHS doctors and nurses who have been and continue to be heroes.

“I am doing my very best to keep positive and will keep you updated here with how I’m getting on.

“In the meantime I hope you’ll all understand and respect my request for privacy during this difficult time. Sending you all so much loveā€¦.xx.”
