Holly Willoughby cut a classy figure as she picked up some essentials at the shops following her This Morning return.

The 39-year-old returned on Tuesday to presenting duties alongside long-time co-host Philip Schofield after a six-week summer break.

The pair embraced while wearing protective gear upon their return.

Displaying her classic beauty, Holly was snapped hitting the shops as she picked up essentials while wearing a face mask.

She wore shades over her eyes as she entered the store, her signature blonde locks worn loose down to her shoulders.

And Holly showed off her classic style in a country-green, buttoned up jacket, paired with leggings and trainers.

To mark Holly and Phil’s return on Tuesday, This Morning smashed its ratings record with its highest numbers in a decade.

Fan favourite Alison Hammond has even been rewarded with a new “Thelma and Louise” style travel segment on the show.

And they got right down to discussing the biggest topics of the day, with Holly defending singer Adele over a controversial photo.

Adele recently shared a snap of herself in a bikini painted with the Jamaican flag, her hair tied in Bantu knots in honour of the cancelled Notting Hill Carnival.

She found herself accused of cultural appropriation, but Holly waded in with her own opinion.

Phil asked Matthew Wright, who was criticising Adele: “Aren’t we too easily offended? Aren’t we looking for something to offend us?”

After Matthew retorted, Holly replied: “But surely isn’t it a question of looking at the intent of the person who’s doing it and her intention of posting that picture was just to celebrate a thing that she’s been a part of for a very long time?

“Isn’t the Notting Hill Carnival something she’s been to many, many times?”

They even had legendary duo Ant & Dec on the couch, Holly desperate to wring any details she could from them about the upcoming I’m A Celebrity.

Avid fan – and one-time presenter – Holly was desperate to know if Tiger King’s Carole Baskin had been signed up by ITV.

“If that’s true,” Phil chimed in, “that’s a great booking!”

“Couldn’t possibly say,” Dec laughed, “We can’t comment on the bookings.”
