Reality TV star Kerry Katona has filmed herself getting her tattoo of her ex-husband’s initial covered.

The move comes as Kerry, 39, announced her engagement to partner Ryan Mahoney.

In the description for the clip on YouTube, Kerry writes: “Watch along as I get my new tattoo! It was mega painful but I LOVE it!! xx”.

In the video, Kerry reveals that the tattoo is to hide an old tribute to former husband George Kay, who she divorced in 2017 before he died of an overdose in July last year.

Kerry says in the clip: “Today I’m getting a brand new tatto, spur of the moment. I have a G that was on my finger for George, DJ’s daddy.

“I decided to get it covered up because I didn’t want to keep looking at a G there.”

The reality TV star then underwent getting her new tattoo over the old one, with Kerry admitting how painful the process is.

Once the tattoo was covered by a fresh piece of ink, Kerry was so delighed it left her considering more.

“I really want a sleeve now,” said Kerry. “It’s beautiful, unique and different, isn’t it?”

Kery has five children: Molly Marie McFadden, Heidi Lilly-Sue McFadden, Elizabeth Croft, Maxwell Mark Croft, and Georges son Dylan Jorge.

Her eldest two daughters are from her marriage to former Westlife singer Brian McFadden, while Elizabeth and and Maxwell are from her former marriage to Mark Croft.

Also in the video, Kerry also reflected on her favourite memories of being in girl group Atomic Kitten alongside Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton.

“I think, for me, it was our first single it went to number 10, Right Now,” revealed Kerry.

“For me, it was the climb, getting there.”

She also confirmed that she left the band because she “didn’t enjoy it” and “hated it”.

Kerry was subsequently replaced by Jenny Frost and their hit single Whole Again was re-recorded to replace Kerry’s vocals.
