Royal Challengers Bangalore will be looking to reverse their fortunes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 as they chase the elusive title, this time with a new-look jersey. RCB on Monday took to social media to share a glimpse of their redesigned jersey.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained the black and red shades of their jersey and the hint of gold at the end of the sleeves. RCB have new shirt sponsors this year and their newly-designed logo takes up a large part of the space on the bottom half of their jersey.

“Time to don the Red and Gold. Face the challenge and #PlayBold. Onto the battlefield we stride. With all our might and all our pride!” RCB wrote while unveiling their new-look shirt.

Captain Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel, Umesh Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal were donning the designed jersey in the photo shared by RCB.

RCB have been training with a golden helmet and it remains to be seen if they will the attractive gear during the season.

After arriving in the UAE on August 21, RCB completed their mandatory 6-day quarantine period during which players had to undergo three Covid-19 tests. After their results came out negative, RCB began training in Dubai.

RCB Director of Cricket Mike Hesson, speaking to media via teleconference, had said the players would train in batches in the lead up to IPL 2020.

In their first training session, captain Virat Kohli led from the front while the focus was on AB de Villiers in their second training session.

“It’s been five months since I picked up the bat, but it’s much better than expected to be honest. It came out better than I thought,” Kohli said while speaking of his first outdoor training session in 5 months.

RCB have a good mix of youth and experience for IPL 2020 wherein they will be looking to end their title drought. While captain Virat Kohli holds the key, the experience of the likes of De Villiers, Aaron Finch, Dale Steyn and Moeen Ali will come in handy as they look for a better show under a new-look support staff.
