Jessica Simpson rules out Botox because she doesn’t want lose her expressions

Jessica Simpson has shunned botox because she doesn’t want to lose expression in her face.

The 40-year-old singer and fashion designer is adamant about growing old with grace, and has opted for beauty remedies that don’t involve injections.

Shortly after ditching her hair extensions and going makeup free for a recent social media selfie, the Dukes of Hazzard star opened up about her favourite beauty regimes.

Speaking to InStyle, the blonde bombshell talked about her decision to opt for alternative treatments to keep her skin healthy.

“I got really into red light therapy,” the songstress expained.

“I went down a rabbit hole on this amazing facialist and I was like, ‘Okay, I need something to tighten my skin, I just turned 40. I don’t want to get Botox, I like my expressions. That’s what makes me who I am.”

Jessica continued: “I mean, I understand Botox, but if I can just put a red light on my face, that’s amazing and it’s not something I have to pay for every time. I’m not endorsing that or anything, I really do believe in it.”

“If I’m laying there with the red light on my face, it does put me into a meditative state of mind and I can just play music or a podcast or just get centred, but also know that I’m Benjamin Buttoning myself,” Jessica explained.

Last year, the star published a very honest memoir called Open Book where she spoke about all aspects of her personal life.

Jessica recently went makeup free for a social media post

The singer and actress opened up about her battle with eczema

However, one feature of her life that she seldom mentions is her battle with eczema.

In a recent social media post, the mum of three bravely opened up about the condition that she has had since she was a child.

She has since become an ambassador for the treatment that has helped ease her eczema and helped keep flare ups under control.

The model also recently ditched her extensions as she spoke about body positivity

Alongside her candid message, Jessica urged her followers to open up about their experiences and encourage others to speak to their doctors.
