Strictly Come Dancing is tipped to sign up RuPaul’s Drag Race star Divina De Campo, as she’s “desperate” to dance with Anton Du Beke.

The drag queen, 36, is rumoured to be the next celebrity to join the popular BBC show’s line-up, according to the bookies.

Ladbrokes have slashed the odds for the popular reality star to make a debut on the show this year.

It would also make her dream to dance with Strictly pro Anton come true.

The bookmaker has slashed her odds from 10-1 to just 3-1, suggesting Strictly bosses are keen to get her on the show.

Divina De Campo is tipped to join Strictly 2020

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “She was one of the standout names on RuPaul’s Drag Race and it looks as though Divina De Campo could be about to make history with a Strictly appearance.”

A rep for Strictly declined to comment when approached by Mirror Online.

Other stars rumoured to be going into this year’s series include Ronan Keating, GMB’s Ben Shephard, Love Island’s Maura Higgins and ex-footballer Rio Ferdinand.

She wants to dance with Anton Du Beke

It’s believed Strictly bosses are fighting to make the 2020 show bigger and better than ever, with an “A-list line-up” in full swing.

The hit show is battling to return in the autumn amid the coronavirus pandemic.

However one of its producers’ major concerns is the temperature of the studio, it’s claimed.

The star is the latest to join the rumoured line-up

Crews have reportedly been told that the studio needs to be kept under 21C, which is a very difficult task under the heat of the lights.

Those in charge of health and safety on the programme are reportedly worried that if there is another heatwave dancers on set will sweat more, ultimately adding to the risk of coronavirus spreading among cast and crew.

Anton Du Beke is apparently her chosen pro

A source told  The Sun : “Producers and crew are jumping through all sorts of hoops to get the show on the air for viewers. The latest hurdle is keeping it cool enough that everyone isn’t a big, sweaty mess.”

It’s thought show bosses are working around the clock to do everything possible in order to get the show on the road.
