Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma announced their pregnancy on Thursday leading to a frenzy on social media with people from all quarters wishing the happy couple on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Sachin Tendulkar also took to social media to wish Kohli and his wife, actor Anushka Sharma, with a special message for the couple.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had tied the knot in Italy on December 11, 2017. The cricketer-actor pair had first met during the shooting of a shampoo commercial in 2013 after which they started dating.

“Congratulations @AnushkaSharma and @imVkohli. This little miracle will soon make your world more beautiful & happier!” Tendulkar tweeted.

Kohli and Anushka both made the news of their pregnancy on their respective social media accounts on Wednesday morning.

“And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021,” Kohli tweeted while Anushka also wrote the same caption along with a picture of the two in which the Bollywood superstar can be seen flaunting her baby bump.

Kohli is currently self-isolating himself in his hotel room in Dubai, at the completing of which he will undergo a Covid-19 test before he can start preparing for IPL 2020 with his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates.

The 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League T20 tournament was originally supposed to start on March 29 in India. However, due to the unforeseen coronavirus pandemic, the season was indefinitely postponed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

It was only after the ICC’s postponement of the T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia that the Indian cricket board got the September-November window for staging the IPL.

The tournament will now be played between September 19 and November 10 in the UAE. All 8 teams are set to begin their preparation for the competition after completing their isolation period this week.
