Sachin Pilot will not join BJP, claims Deputy Chief Minister’s colleague amid clashes in Rajasthan Congress
Rajasthan political Crisis
Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot is neither going to join the BJP nor is he going to have any meeting with the opposition party. A close aide of Sachin Pilot claimed this on Monday in a conversation with Hindustan Times amid a stir in the Rajasthan Congress.
However, Sachin Pilot will not attend the meeting of the legislature party convened by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at 10:30 am. Pilots who left from Jaipur on Saturday will remain in Delhi.
Last night, a statement was issued by the pilot’s office saying that the Gehlot government is in a minority and there are 30 MLAs along with Sachin Pilot. Hours later, at 2:20 pm, the Congress party held a press conference claiming the support of 109 MLAs.
Meanwhile, there is also speculation that Sachin Pilot may join the BJP. Sources yesterday also claimed that Sachin Pilot had met Jyotiraditya Scindia, who came to the BJP from the Congress. Scindia also tweeted on the issue yesterday and said that he was saddened by his old colleague Sachin Pilot. The Congress Party lacks merit and ability.
On the clouds of crisis over the Congress government in Rajasthan, the Bharatiya Janata Party is in the ‘wait and see’ posture. Party sources said on Sunday that the BJP would wait for the outcome of the showdown between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot before deciding on the plan of next action.

Gehlot has called a meeting of Congress MLAs on Monday in which it is expected to get a clear indication of how many MLAs are supported by Gehlot and Pilot. It is believed that Pilot, the president of Rajasthan Congress, is in touch with some BJP leaders, but BJP sources have refused to say anything about whether he has spoken to Pilot.
Pilot is currently in Delhi and has openly expressed his dissatisfaction against the party. Pilot claims that he has the support of 30 Congress MLAs and some other independents. A BJP leader said that it seems Pilot has made up his mind and is not ready to go with Gehlot’s leadership.
