Devadhidev Mahadev’s beloved month is a wonderful coincidence in the month of Shravan when devotees will have the opportunity to worship and meditate on the five Monday Bholes. Shivsampat Dwivedi, head of the department of Sanskrit department at Gandhi College, said that the five Mondays of this time is important because according to Ved Puranas, Lord Shiva has five faces and the human body is formed from the Pancha Mahabhutas, hence these five falling in the month of Sawan On Monday, all the wishes of the worshiper of Shiva will be fulfilled. 

He said that Shravan month is a special favorite of Shiva. In the Shiva Purana, Lord Shankar himself stated the importance of this month and said that anyone who worships me in this month definitely receives my blessings. Therefore, in the month of Shravan, whoever wants to worship Lord Bholenath, he will be pleased. Lord Shiva has five faces. 

Also, human body is made up of five elements of earth, water, fire, air and sky. Worshiping Lord Shankar on the five Mondays of this Shravan month will fulfill every desire of the physical and divine body. Also, the devotee who worships Lord Bholenath with panchamrit (milk, curd, ghee, sugar and honey) will have his desired wishes fulfilled.

He told that fasting for Mondays in the month of Sawan also has a different significance. Lord Bholenath himself has said that in all the months, the month of Shravan is very dear to me. Its importance is worth listening to. Hence it is called Shravan month. In this month there is a full moon with Shravan Nakshatra. Due to this also it is called Shravan. Just by listening to the importance of this month, it is going to provide accomplishment. This is also why this month is called the month of Shravan.  

Premature death haranam Sarva Vyadhi Vinashanam, ie in Shravan month, worship is done to remove famine death and to get away with all other diseases. Markandeya, son of Markandu Rishi, had attained the grace of Lord Shiva for long life in the month of Shravan itself, due to which the powers of Yamraja were bowed down in front of the mantra powers. The fast of Monday in Shravan month is also very important.

 There are five Mondays in the month of Shravan. The first of which will be on Monday 6 July, the second on 13 July, the third on 2 July, the fourth on 27 July, the last on 3 August. In these days, devotees can worship Shiva and receive the grace of Shiva
