The Healing Power of Prayer

Our health is important simply because it is the key to living well and long. Despite its necessity, there are a lot of illnesses that pose a risk to our health and we always try to avoid them. Luckily for us, God has us covered in terms of protection.
Wherein there are numerous instances in the Bible, with them being the different promises of long life, prosperity, and good health made to Man. All these promises though have a requirement which is in the form of total love, obedience, and prayers to God.
Abraham and Isaac fulfilled these requirements and they were rewarded by God for their love and obedience. Now, to this rule, you’re no exception yourself. Therein, all you have to do is to have a deep, personal talk with God. In other words, pray to the El Shaddai—who always listens.

I absolutely believe you have the power to heal. You demonstrated that on earth, and you still heal in miraculous ways today. Even when my faith is weak, you say it is enough, and my love for you is strong. And I know you already hold my heart and life in your hands. It’s up to you. If I can bring you more glory through healing, then that’s what I ask for. That’s what I desire.
But if your answer is no, or not now, I know that your grace is sufficient for me. Ultimately, I want your will to be my will. I look forward to spending an eternity with you. But Lord, if you have planned still more for me to do here on this earth, I not only need and want your physical healing, Lord, but a thorough, deep-down cleansing and strengthening—a whole-hearted renewal of all that I am. Because all that I am is yours. Use this trial to strengthen me from a “what-if” faith to a “no-matter-what” faith. And no matter what, I choose to honor you and give you glory. Thank You for being with me through all the ups and downs of my life and for the many blessings that You have given me for which I praise and thank You.
You know the illness that I have been struggling with for a long time now and that there is little that seems to be able to be done by the medical profession – but I believe that I am fearfully and wonderfully made and that You know every part of my body. You know exactly why I have been ill for so long. I come to You now asking that You would work a full recovery in my body – whatever is causing this persistent problem. I pray that You would, in Your mercy, give me back the health and strength I need.
Guide me along the path that You have planned for me.
To Heal A Friend
Think, O’ God, of our friend who is ill, whom we now commend to Your compassionate regard.
Comfort him/her upon his/her sickbed, and ease his/her suffering. We beg for deliverance, and submit
that no healing is too hard if it be Your will.
We therefore pray that You bless our friend with Your loving care, renew his/her strength,
and heal what ails him/her in Your loving name.

Dear God, Some days feel too hard. We’re hurting. Struggling. Fighting fear and worry at every turn. Thank you in the midst of it all, you haven’t left us to fend for ourselves. We pray for those who grieve today. We ask for your comfort to surround those who weep. We are kept safe in your presence forever, whether in life or in death. We thank you that your ways are higher than our ways and your thoughts are bigger than our thoughts.
