Dr. Karishma Rai told ABP News that I am not happy with my life of comfort. I am joining RJD today and the motive behind joining is that I am very much inspired by the works of my former late Daroga Prasad Rai ji who was my grandfather. I took this decision because everyone lives for themselves, everyone wants to sit in AC and eat good food, but this life is not for me. I am not happy with this life. I want to do something for others as well. If educated and capable people like me do nothing, then who will do it. I feel that I have a huge responsibility towards the society and now it is time that I fulfill it and I will get a lot of scope in politics.

Karishma further said, I am a dentist by profession and I have also done social service. Only those elders whose children did not ask them in their profession. By the way, I used to be very moved by meeting people. And used to help them, but I thought this is not the solution. Something has to be done for this, we cannot sit hand in hand.

Why RJD only? Karishma answered the question that my grandfather’s field of work was almost the same. He has also done a lot of work for the downtrodden, exploited people, which Lalu Prasad Yadav has taken forward.

Karishma praised sister Aishwarya and brother-in-law,
