Saudi Arabia declares, very few people will do Haj, not allowed to come from other countries
Saudi Arabia has said that a limited number of people will be allowed to perform Hajj this year in view of the Corona virus (Kovid-19). Apart from this, people of other countries will not be allowed to go to Saudi this time for Haj.
According to an announcement made by the state media on Monday, a very limited number of people currently living there can take part in the Hajj. The decision has been taken by the Ministry of Haj and Umrah in view of the increasing number of infections in most countries and the danger of its spread due to congestion. So far 161,005 cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in Saudi Arabia and 2045 people have died.
According to a report, an estimated 2 million people could visit Mecca and Medina this summer. There was a possibility that the Haj could be canceled altogether. This time is one of the most important moments in the Muslim religious calendar, but only those citizens of other countries around the world, who are already living in Saudi Arabia, will be allowed only.
