Mumbai Corona : Local trains started in Mumbai from today
Some local trains started on Sunday i.e. from today, in Mumbai, amidst ever increasing cases of Corona virus. Western Railway itself issued an official statement informing about this news.
Mumbai : Maharashtra is facing the maximum death due to deadly corona virus in India. So far, more than one lakh people have fallen victim to this infection. In Maharashtra, this virus has caused the most devastation in Mumbai. So far, more than 57 thousand cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in Mumbai. A big news has come out for Mumbai battling the Corona virus. Local train is being started from here today. Western Railway itself informed about this news by tweeting.
However, only essential staff will be allowed to travel in these trains. The Western Railway and Central Railway decided on Sunday night that some rail services in Mumbai be restarted. The Western Railway issued an official statement confirming this news
Local service started at half past five in the morning
Western Railway’s 73 compartments of 12 coaches started between Churchgate and Dahanu under the protocol set from today. Of these, eight trains will run from Virar to Dahanu. These trains will run between 5:30 AM and 11:30 PM. However, only essential staff will be allowed to travel in these. Only after showing the ID card, passengers will get entry in the station.

Fast trains will run on Central Railway
For your information, let us know that 200 fast trains will run on Central Railway. These include 100 ups and 100 downs. It will be mandatory for passengers to show ID card while taking the ticket Entry will be available in the station only after showing the ID card. Staff will be given QR based e-passes which will also have a color code.
