1000 pigeons starved to death in Afghanistan’s famous mosque
Kabul. Not only humans but other animals and animals are also having to face the devastation of corona infection. In one such case, about a thousand of the white pigeons found in Afghanistan’s famous Mazar-e-Sharif Mosque have died of hunger. These pigeons were reared in the mosque and they could not find a grain in the lockdown due to Corona infection. The mosque was not allowed to open the mosque in lockdown, which was awarded to these pigeons.
Qayyum Ansari, the keeper of the mosque, told that the pigeons were dying continuously because they did not come to put any grain. He told that, more than 30 Dove (white pigeon) were dying everyday. We used to bury them outside this mosque. According to Qayum, more than a thousand birds have died so far.

This 12th-century mosque is also known as the Blue Mosque because its stones are blue in color. This mosque is also one of the many religious buildings closed during lockdown in the country. The number of corona virus infections in Afghanistan is more than 21 thousand but it is believed that the actual figures will be much more than this.
