In the order issued by the government, it has been said that strict action will be taken if any school increases the fees. In the order issued late evening on Monday, it has been clearly stated that there will be no fee increase in any school during the education session 2020-21. This order will be applicable to every school of all boards.
In this regard, the state’s Deputy CM and Education Minister Dinesh Sharma said that if someone has already taken the increased fees, then he will have to adjust in the coming months. While this decision of the government has brought relief to the students and parents, the private school operators are not embracing it. While talking to Aaj Tak, many parents said that it is becoming difficult to pay the fees of schools in this era of epidemic.
While many schools are not able to stop the increase in fees, there is also a school in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, which reduced its tuition fees by 25 percent. Director of Kunwar Public School, Rajesh Singh said that the parents were informed in this regard soon after the lockdown was announced. He also made it clear that no additional charges of any kind will be charged. Transportation fees will not be taken from the children till the school opens.

Significantly, the government had earlier asked to take a fee of one month simultaneously. Also, an appeal was made that the fees should not be increased. Despite this, many schools have increased the fees by 10 percent. Meanwhile, the Delhi government banned the increase in fees. After this step of the Delhi government, there was all-round pressure on the Yogi government to take a similar step.
