Aligarh (Dadar) UP: Panchayat’s Punishment for Gangrape -5 slaps of shoes , Girl gives away her life
When two boys from the village gang-raped a 16-year-old girl, the matter went to the village panchayat. The panchayat told both boys to hit 5-5 shoes and made them go black in the village. Unhappy with this decision of Panchas, she came to the house and gave her life by hanging herself. This embarrassing case is of Aligarh district of UP.
In the village of Dadar area of Aligarh, the value of a girl’s honor was left in the eyes of the villagers, that after the panchayat, the accused got five shoes and hit them and left them black.
The 16-year-old girl went to the toilet in the morning. On coming home, two young men from the village came from behind and silenced and dragged him to the field. The two raped the teenager and threatened to escape.
The teenager came home and told the whole incident. Before the matter went to the police, people from the accused’s side made a plan to solve the case. A panchayat was convened in the village of haste and the teenager was also called.
The Panchs decided that the teenager would hit accused by five shoes each. The helpless teenager did this in front of the punches. Then both the youths were blackened with warning for the future, warning of harsh action.
The police could not get any news of this development. Here, after coming home from the panchayat, the teenager gave his life by hanging himself. A villager informed the police, then the top officials including the police of the area reached the spot and took the body of the teenager and sent it for postmortem. Police arrested both the accused roaming around in the village.

According to SP Dehat Atul Sharma, a case has been filed on the complaint of the father. Action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in this case.
