Corona / 150 buses left from Gwalior to bring three thousand students of Madhya Pradesh trapped in Kota, expected to return by late night

Bhopal. 150 buses have left from Gwalior at 8 am today to bring back three thousand students of Madhya Pradesh government trapped due to lockdown in Kota. Buses have been sent along with the necessary medicines to Gwalior Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Dinesh Shukla and medical staff. He is expected to return on Tuesday night. 

Earlier the buses were to be dispatched from Indore, but the decision was changed as the situation was not good there. The list of about 25 children of Indore has come to the Transport Department RTO, who will take the bus from Kota to Indore. Ujjain district has 26 students. Dr. RP Tiwari, SDM, Ujjain said that a division-level team of administration has been constituted to bring these students. This team will go by road.

Screening will be done on entry point

  • All students will be screened at the entry points of Neemuch and Agar-Malwa. 44 names of Neemuch district and about 200 children of Ujjain division have come up. District administration at Singoli Rajasthan border will receive the children of Ujjain division. After this screening, they will be sent along with the nodal officers of the concerned district.
  • All children will be quarantined. For this, the Quarantine Center has been built in a private hotel. All have to remain isolated for 14 days.

The UP government had taken the initiative, the opposition also praised

The Uttar Pradesh government took the initiative to take the trapped students to their homes in Kota. The government had dispatched buses from Agra and Jhansi to about 4000 students of the state to their homes. BSP leader Mayawati and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi praised this move of the government and demanded to bring back the trapped laborers in other states.
