Migrant Crisis: Workers in Maharashtra Approved for conditional Return in Corona Lockdown

The Maharashtra government has decided to allow over one lakh migrant laborers of the sugar mill to return to their villages amid the lockdown. But first their corona will be investigated. State Social Justice Minister Dhananjay Munde gave this information. 

A statement issued from the minister’s office said that 1.31 lakh sugar mill workers are living in temporary houses built on the premises of 38 sugar mills in the state, while many other workers are stranded in other places. However, allowing these migrant laborers to return to their villages would lead to a large number of people moving from one district to another.
