Patient admitted to quarantine center in Kushinagar refuses to eat food cooked by Dalit
Kushinagar Korana virus infection is spreading rapidly in Uttar Pradesh, due to which many suspected people are being kept in quarantine centers. In such a situation, a young man kept at the Quarantine Center in Kushinagar of the state refused to eat food made in the hands of Dalits.
Unsurpassed by information, Dalit women, village head and her husband, were cooking food for the people living in the quarantine center of Bhujuli Khurd village of Khadda tehsil of Kushinagar. When the young man was given food, he refused to eat, saying that he could not eat food made by the Dalit. When BJP MP Vijay Dubey came to know about this incident, he immediately reached Quarantine Center and he ate food there. The Dalit family expressed happiness after the MP had eaten at his home.
It is being told that a quarantine center has been established in the school of Bhujauli Khurd village of Khadda tehsil of Kushinagar district. 5 people returning from outside have been Isolated in this quarantine center. Among these 5 people, Siraj, a resident of Bhujauli Khurd village, was also an Isolate.
When the village head of Bhujuli Khurd, Lilavati and her husband Subhash Gautam took food for them, four people took food, but Siraj refused to eat food on the basis of untouchability.
According to the village head representative and the husband of the woman head of the village, Siraj refused to eat, saying that the Scheduled Tribe touched and could not eat food made at his home.
Subhash Gautam says that on hearing this, both of us started crying. Even after so much insult, both of us kept on requesting Siraj to have food, but he did not take food. Siraj eats food from his house.
After the news of this entire episode came to light, Ajay Govind Shishu, former in-charge of Kushinagar MP Vijay Dubey Hiuva, along with BJP leader Nilesh Mishra reached the village head of the village and expressed his desire to have food. Principal husband Subhash Gautam was happy to hear the MP’s talk. Subhash Gautam forgot all the insults made by Siraj.
The MPs sat at the door of the village head of scheduled caste woman for about an hour and after eating, left from there. The MP said that untouchability is a stigma on humanity, no one should believe it. This initiative of MP is being praised all around.
