Giani Nirmal Singh, who was awarded the Padma Shri Award, was 62 years old. Two days ago symptoms of corona virus were found in them, after which the health department was informed. Gurbani reader Nirmal Singh, who returned to visit England a few days ago, had problems with breathlessness and dizziness on March 30, after which he was admitted to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar. He was put on ventilator in the hospital.
After the symptoms of Corona virus, the local police has sealed the area around Nirmal Singh’s residence to prevent the spread of infection.
Please tell that after returning from abroad, Nirmal Singh also organized conferences and religious meetings in Delhi and some other places. Nirmal Singh along with his family members and other relatives also performed kirtan at a house in Chandigarh on 19 March.
In such a situation, Nirmal Singh’s two daughters, son, wife, a driver and 6 other people who come in contact with him have also been kept in isolation. All their samples have been sent for investigation. It is worth mentioning that Nirmal Singh, who was a former Hajuri ragi of the Golden Temple, had knowledge of all 31 “ragas” in the Gurbani of Guru Granth Sahib, which is why he was awarded the Padma Shri in 2009.
