new Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the country tonight at 8 pm. This will be his second address after 4 days and the name of the sixth nation in 6 years. During this time, he will share some important things with the countrymen about the increasing outbreak of coronavirus which has become epidemic. The number of coronavirus infections in the country increased to 512, while 9 people have died. Maharashtra had the highest number of 101 confirmed cases. Kerala (95) is at number two. At the same time, the first case of infection came to light in Manipur on Tuesday. Modi will address people in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi through video conferencing from 5 pm on Wednesday.
Earlier, Modi addressed the country on 19 March. He then appealed to the Janata curfew to seek people’s cooperation with the government’s efforts to combat Coronavirus in the country. He had said – observe public curfew from 7am to 9pm on 22 March, avoid going crowded for a few weeks.
Modi’s advice was not accepted, people came out of the houses and the markets were crowded
On March 19, Modi appealed that not every countryman leave the house for the next few weeks. Come out only when it is very important. The elderly aged 60 to 65 years or more should stay in the house. After this appeal, people imposed a Janata curfew on 22 March and encouraged the people fighting Corona by playing thali, conch and other things at 5 in the evening. However, in other states including Bihar, people did not accept Modi’s appeal and came out of their homes. The markets were crowded here and people also appeared to travel in buses. After this, Modi appealed to people for the second time and asked people to stay in the house.
First address: 8 November 2016 (demonetisation)

Fourth Address: 8 August 2019 (after removal of Article 370)
After the abolition of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, Modi addressed the country at 8 pm on 8 August 2019. In his address, he promised to build a new Jammu and Kashmir and a new Ladakh. Modi assured the people of Jammu and Kashmir that gradually the situation will return to normal and their troubles will also reduce.
