Naxalite encounter: 17 jawans missing in dense forests, Maoists wearing bulletproof jackets
Sukma In Sukma of Chhattisgarh, Naxalites have attacked a large number of security forces. It is believed to be the biggest attack of the year 2020. Naxalites attacked security forces between Kasalpad and Minpa of Chintagufa police station area of Sukma on Saturday afternoon.
The soldiers were returning from searching. After this attack, 17 security personnel have gone missing, while 14 have been injured. The injured soldiers have been airlifted to Raipur late Saturday night. His treatment continues in the Ramakrishna Hospital in Raipur. Around 300 DRG and STF personnel had left for operation in this area.
According to the information, the encounter took place at around 2:30 pm. A large number of Naxalites surrounded the soldiers and attacked them. The encounter lasted for about three hours. After this, the Naxalites fled from there. After this encounter, the process of returning troops to different camps continued till late night, but till Sunday morning, 17 soldiers could not be traced. Due to dense forest and bad weather, there is difficulty in searching for the soldiers. It is being told that soldiers are being searched with the help of drones.
