Court adjourned the execution of the four convicts for the third time, Nirbhaya’s mother said – Our system is supporting the criminals

New Delhi: Patiala House Court has adjourned the hanging of the four convicts of the Nirbhaya case till further orders. The court ruled that the mercy petition of a convict Pawan Gupta was pending with the President. This is the third time the hanging of the culprits has been postponed. Pawan filed a mercy petition in the Supreme Court on Monday shortly after the curative petition was dismissed. The convict’s lawyer AP Singh had argued that the court should put stay to the death warrant until the President decides on it. After the decision, Nirbhaya’s mother said that repeated imposition of punishment shows the failure of the system. Our entire system is helpful to criminals.

The culprit’s dummy was hanged for the third time
Meanwhile, the Tihar administration informed that Pawan executioner completed the process of hanging the dummy of the four convicts in jail on Monday. The dummy of the four convicts was prepared according to their weight. The dummy of the convicts has already been hanged twice on 27 and 12 January. Both the Tihar Jail officials completed this process. This process is considered hanging rehearsal.
