Punjab: Three-storey building collapsed, two people rescued, 15 feared trapped
Mohali: Three-storey building collapsed on Kharar-Landra road on Saturday. The police-administration team has started the rescue operation. Two people have been evacuated and taken to the hospital. Some more people are feared trapped in the debris.
The three-story building was near the JTPL City Project. Excavation of a plot was going on next to the building. According to the police – the JCB operator engaged in excavation hit the building wall, resulting in the building collapsing. There was also a builder’s office in the building. Police, fire brigade and Mohali district administration officials have reached the spot. IG Ropar Amit Prasad is also present on the occasion. Two mobile towers standing close to the building have also collapsed in the accident.
