‘Women with Wheels’ Cab Service launched at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi

Keeping in view the safety of women in Delhi, Sakha Consulting Group has launched the Women with Wheels cab facility. It is providing security to women and also giving employment to them. This facility has been started for women near Pillar No. 16 outside Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi National Airport in Delhi. In which the drivers are also women.

Often, women who reach Delhi late in the night get scared in the taxi made to go home from the airport. Despite hesitation, women have to take a cab under compulsion. This initiative is the solution to this problem of women safety. The service, which started on 10 January, has 20 cabs and 10 female drivers. Men can travel with women in these cabs, but for this it is mandatory to have a woman with them.

Women are included with the help of Azad Foundation to work in Women with Wheels Cab Service. This foundation provides training to poor class women in driving and self-defense. Cab service has a panic button designed to protect both the passenger and the driver.
