India vs New zealand 5th T20 / India won by 7 runs, the first country to do a clean sweep in a 5-match series; Kohli the first captain to win 10 bilateral series

India defeated New Zealand by 7 runs in the last match of the five T20 series. With this victory, he won the series 5–0. India became the first country to do a clean sweep in the 5 match series. Also, Team India was successful in winning 8 consecutive matches for the first time. At the same time, the New Zealand team lost in the sixth match in a row. India, batting first in the match, scored 163 for 3 in 20 overs. The New Zealand team, chasing the target, scored 156 runs in 9 overs in 20 overs. The first match of the 3 ODIs series between the two teams will be held in Hamilton on 5 February.

Virat Kohli became the first captain to win the most 10 bilateral series. He left Faf Duplessis (9 Series) of South Africa behind. Eoin Morgan of England won 7, Darren Sammy of West Indies 6 and Mahendra Singh Dhoni won 5 bilateral series.

India won two matches in the series Super Over

The first match of the series took place in Auckland, where the Indian team defeated New Zealand by 6 wickets. Taylor-Shiffert together scored 34 runs in Shivam Dubey’s over.

This was Ross Taylor’s 100th T20. He was dismissed for 53 runs. Tim Shiffert was out for 50 off Navdeep Saini. Taylor-Shiffert scored 34 runs in an over by Shivam Dubey. Dubey became the highest run bowler in an over for India in T20s. He left Stuart Binny behind. Binny had given 32 runs against West Indies in 2016 at Lauderhill, US.

Rohit and Rahul shared 88 runs

Rohit Sharma scored 60 and Lokesh Rahul scored 45 runs. Shreyas Iyer scored 33 and Manish Pandey scored 11 not out. Scott Kuglin took 2 wickets for New Zealand. Rohit retired due to injury after playing 41-ball innings. He scored the 21st half-century of his career. Now Rahul is captaining. Rohit and Rahul shared an 88-run partnership for the second wicket. Shivam Dubey was out for 5 off Kuglin.

Sanju Samson flopped again

Sanju Samson returned to the pavilion after scoring 2 runs. He was caught by Centner on Kuglin’s ball. Samson flopped for the third consecutive match after his return. He could only score 8 runs in the fourth T20. Before that he had scored 6 runs against Sri Lanka in January.
