Helpline number ‘139’ has 8 facilities including security and medical emergency, service is available in 12 languages

For railway facilities and complaints, only one helpline number 139 will now work. There will be 8 services available on it. This helpline number is based on the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). Passengers will be able to get 8 facilities via call or SMS on 139 numbers. These include safety and medical emergency, inquiry, catering, general complaint, vigilance, train accident information, status / status of complaint and talking to call center officer. This helpline service is available in 12 languages. Currently, Railways have issued more than 30 helpline numbers for information and complaints to passengers for safe travel.

Which service on pressing which number after calling 139:

  1. Safety and Medical Emergency – Pressing No. 1
  2. Inquiry: Information related to PNR, fare and ticket booking – 2 numbers.
  3. Catering related complaint – number 3
  4. Common Complaint – Through number 4
  5. Vigilance and Corruption Complaint – Number 5
  6. Train accident related information – By pressing number 6
  7. Status / Status of complaint – With the help of number 9.
