Insurance: Health insurance plan that covers your friends too
Now you will be able to give financial protection to your family as well as your friend for good treatment. The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has approved a product that can cover friends with family. It is named Friend Assurance. The product was proposed to IRDA on behalf of Religare Health Insurance, Max Bupa Health Insurance and Kotak Mahindra General Insurance. IRDA has recently approved several new insurance products. Friend Assurance is also included in these products.
Will start from 1st February
- All these products will be launched on a pilot basis for 6 months from 1 February. A friend insurance policy can include 5 to 30 people. Under this policy, the score of the group will be decided on the basis of behavior. This will include contacting a doctor, getting a health checkup, etc.
- Religare Health Insurance says that if a group does not make any claim throughout the year, they will be given a 15% discount on the next premium. On the other hand, Max Bupa has said to give 5 to 10 percent discount on the basis of good score.
Bajaj Finance launches Healthcare EMI card
- Bajaj Finance has launched a Healthcare EMI Card in association with Apollo. This will facilitate loans to those who are undergoing expensive treatment and diagnostic expenses. People using this co-branded card can convert their medical bills into easy no-cost EMIs.
- The bills have to be paid in installments in 12 months. It will get a credit limit of up to 4 lakh rupees. The Apollo Hospitals-Bajaj Finserv Health EMI card will cover the entire family.
