New Delhi: Captain Virat Kohli has been the most searched cricketer on the Internet from December 2015 to December 2019. They are followed by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, Hardik Pandya and Yuvraj Singh respectively. This research was done by the SEMIRS study and according to the data derived from this research, on an average, Kohli has been searched 17.6 lakh times in a month.
The rest of the players have been searched 9.59, 7.33, 4.51, 3.68 and 3.48 lakh times respectively. One good thing in this list is that apart from Steve Smith, Abraham de Villiers and Chris Gayle, there are only Indian players in the top-10.
Cricket is very famous in India, but when it came to the most searched team, England defeated the Indian team here. The England team was searched 3.51 lakh times while the Indian team was searched 3.09 lakh times.
