Anurag Kashyap changes profile picture to masked PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to condemn JNU attacks

A masked mob entered Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus and thrashed students and teachers on Sunday night. Many Bollywood celebrities took to Gateway Of India yesterday (January 6) night to protest against the brutal attack. Director, producer Anurag Kashyap too joined the protest.

Condemning the attack, Anurag also changed his profile picture to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in masks. Anurag’s picture has got 9400 retweets and 33700 likes.

The director was brutally trolled after he participated in the protest and changed his profile picture. Many, however, came out in support of Anurag, leading #IStandwithAnuragKashyap trend on Twitter.

A Twitter user wrote, “So proud of you sir, your every tweet inspire us. More power to you. #IStandwithAnuragKashyap.”

From Taapsee Pannu to Zoya Akhtar, many Bollywood celebrities protested against the JNU attack in Mumbai last night. Celebs, with the people of Mumbai, were seen singing and raising slogans against the brutal attack.
