Famous Celebrity Co-Star Feuds: Lucy Lawless Vs. Kevin Sorbo & More Cast Mates Who Did Not Get Along

They through their personal feelings, but these co-stars were NOT fond of one another when the cameras were off! Take a look at some co-stars who didn’t get along

Not every working relationship is going to end in lifelong friendship — that was especially true for these co-stars! When it comes to casts getting along, not every single one can be a big happy family. In fact, there have been plenty of famous co-stars who just could not get along. Let’s breakdown some of the biggest co-star feuds thus far.

Lucy Lawless & Kevin Sorbo

Lucy Lawless and Kevin Sorbo in “Xena: Warrior Princess” [The Everett Collection].

Actors Lucy Lawless and Kevin Sorbo starred on the series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys in the mid-90s. Although Lucy appeared in only 11 episodes of the original show, she eventually got her own spin-off, Xena: Warrior Princess, which ran from 1995-2000. In total, the co-stars had to appear in 13 episodes together — eleven in Hercules and two in Xena. But even that was enough to push the pair apart.

The two haven’t exactly been friendly since, and on January 7, Lucy put Kevin in his place. The two took to Twitter following the horrific riots that took place on Capitol Hill on January 6. In his initial tweets, Kevin, who’s peddled misinformation and conspiracy theories on social media, made unfounded accusations that the Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol were “leftist agitators” in disguise, even saying “they don’t look like patriots to me.” Leave it to the woman who originated the role of Xena: Warrior Princess to put Kevin in his place.

“No, Peanut. They are not Patriots,” Lucy began her scathing retort. “They are your flying monkeys, homegrown terrorists, QAnon actors,” she continued. “They are the d—–bags that go out and do the evil bidding of people like you who like to wind them up like toys and let them do their worst.” She added the hashtags “keep your filthy hands clean” and “enabler” to her words.

The Cast Of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

The cast of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ [The Everett Collection].

Has the cast of Grey’s Anatomy every completely gotten along? Perhaps circumstances have smoothed over as the series, which debuted in 2005, has gone on to a 17-season run. But there were some major, notable feuds between these cast members, so much so that they deserve their own spot on this list!

Katherine Heigl memorably had issues with both cast and crew members. She dropped out of the 2008 Emmy race because she felt “the material” that was written for her that season didn’t “warrant” an Emmy nomination, even though she won for 2007 Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Izzie Stevens! Katherine also had some tifs with former co-star Isaiah Washington, and he even reignited their feud on Twitter in 2020!

Then, there was Ellen Pompeo‘s riff with her co-star Patrick Dempsey. The actor seemingly wasn’t cooperative about working through negotiations so that Ellen could be given a raise. Ellen eventually, however, was able to secure her paycheck. But the longtime star of the show even highlighted how fraught working relationships were on set. “Hurt feelings, combined with instant success and huge paychecks started things spinning out of control,” she said in a 2013 interview. “The crazier things got, as I watched all the tumult with Isaiah [Washington] and then the Katie [Katherine Heigl] thing, I started to focus on the work. Maybe it is my Boston, blue-collar upbringing. I just tried to not pay attention to all the noise around me.”

Will Smith & Janet Hubert

Janet Hubert, James Avery, and Will Smith in a promotional photo for ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ [The Everett Collection].

The bad blood between Janet Hubert and Will Smith has been known for decades, ever since Janet was replaced as Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The two notoriously did not get along, and in 2020 everything finally came to a head. The feud started, though, in 1993, when Will appeared on an Atlanta radio show to offer this perspective on their feud:

“I can say straight up that Janet Hubert wanted the show to be The Aunt Viv of Bel Air Show because I know she is going to dog me in the press,” he said. “She has basically gone from a quarter of a million dollars a year to nothing. She’s mad now but she’s been mad all along. She said once, ‘I’ve been in the business for 10 years and this snotty-nosed punk comes along and gets a show.’ No matter what, to her I’m just the Antichrist.”

Janet, however, alleged that Will had practically “destroyed a 20-year-career with untruths.” Decades later, the two finally sat down for an HBO Max reunion special in November 2020, where Will apologized to Janet for his behavior and how he treated her during a difficult time in her life.

“When I left the show, I had this new baby and no one. Family disowned me, Hollywood disowned me, my family said you’ve ruined our name and I wasn’t unprofessional on the set. I just stopped talking to everybody because I didn’t know who to trust, I had been banished. They said it was you who banished me. Because you were Will, you were a kid. It was hard.”

Sarah Jessica Parker & Kim Cattrall

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall in ‘Sex & The City 2’ [The Everett Collection].

Although they played BFFs on HBO’s beloved series Sex & The CityKim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker have been anything but. It’s unclear exactly how their long-running feud began, but it definitely came to a head in 2018 when SJP extended her condolences to Kim following her brother’s death.

“I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time [Sarah Jessica Parker],” Kim wrote in an Instagram note. “My Mom asked me today, ‘When will that [Sarah Jessica Parker], that hypocrite, leave you alone?’ Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”

Yikes! SJP has continued to play down the clear rift between the two. Sadly for fans, it also means that plans for a third SATC film were scrapped a few years ago. Now, however, it seems that a revival might be coming to HBO Max! The only catch — Kim Cattrall is reportedly not involved.

Ashley Tisdale & Lucas Grabeel

Lucas Grabeel and Ashley Tisdale in ‘High School Musical 3: Senior Year’ [The Everett Collection].

You remember how the song goes — “It’s hard to believe that we couldn’t see, that these two feuded, apparently?!” It’s true! Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel, who played twins Sharpay and Ryan Evans in the High School Musical films, did not get along. Despite their fun chemistry on the big and small screen, Ashley spilled the details during a May 2017 get together.

“We were not close,” Ashley admitted. “We were not good friends—let’s be honest. It’s been 10 years, so we can talk about it.” she laughingly admitted. “We hated each other. Like, I’m not kidding.” Lucas couldn’t help but confess that it was true. “We didn’t get off on the best foot,” he said. Fortunately, it looks like as the two have matured their working relationship has blossomed into friendship!

Tracy Chapman: 5 Things To Know About Singer/Songwriter Who Won Lawsuit Against Nicki Minaj

Tracy Chapman — the singer best known for songs like ‘Fast Car’ — just won her copyright lawsuit against Nicki Minaj. Before Nicki forks over the $450k she owes, here’s what you need to know about Tracy.

Tracy Chapman’s copyright infringement lawsuit against Nicki Minaj is closed, and she’s now $450,000 richer, according to documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. In the legal filings, which became public on Jan. 7, Nicki, 38, reportedly offered that amount to settle the dispute over the leaked song, “Sorry.” The song contained an unauthorized sample of Tracy’s “Baby Can I Hold You,” and apparently, Tracy, 56, accepted the terms. By accepting the deal, Tracy and Nicki will avoid going to trial over the song later this year (and Tracy avoids having to pay the trial costs if Nicki were to win the clash.)

Tracy filed her lawsuit in October 2018, a couple of months after Nicki released her album, Queen. “Sorry,” a collaboration with Nas, was not included on the album. However, Nicki allegedly gave the song to Funkmaster Flex, who played it on his Internet radio show. Nicki did try to get permission to use “Baby Can I Hold You,” but Tracy is known to be on the “do not sample list,” an informal collection of artists known for not allowing other artists to sample their work. Nicki initially won a Sept. 2020 ruling that said she had a fair use right to create “Sorry.” Distributing the song, however, was a whole other matter.

For those who need a refresher, here’s the scoop on Tracy Chapman:

1. She is a highly regarded performer… Tracy Chapman, born March 30, 1964, is best known as an American singer-songwriter. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was raised by her mother. Despite not having much money, her mother bought three-year-old Tracy a ukulele, forging a love of music that would last a lifetime. Tracy won an academic scholarship where she studied in Connecticut and attended Tufts University in Massachusetts. By that point, she had graduated to guitar and honed her chops playing the Boston folk circuit. In 1987, she signed with Elektra.

2. …and multi-Grammy Award winner. Shortly after that major label deal, Tracy announced her arrival onto the music scene with her 1988 self-titled release. Tracy Chapman earned her six Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. She won Best New Artist, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, and Best Contemporary Folk Album. Her debut included “Fast Car,” a song that would become one of her signature tunes. In 1995, she experienced a similar level of commercial and critical success with New Beginning, an album that contained her Platinum-certified hit, “Give Me One Reason.” In the decades since, Tracy continues to record and perform for audiences around the world.

3. She is socially active. “I’m approached by lots of organizations and lots of people who want me to support their various charitable efforts in some way. And I look at those requests, and I basically try to do what I can,” she told NPR in 2009. “I’ve supported Amnesty International for all these years. And as you probably know, it was because of the Amnesty International World Tour in 1988 that I was introduced to an international audience.” Tracy has also worked with charities helping out the Cleveland public school system.

4. Tracy is known for being private. Not much is known about Tracy’s personal life, and she would like to keep it that way. “I have a public life that’s my work life, and I have my personal life,” Tracy said in 2002, according to the About Tracy Chapman website. “In some ways, the decision to keep the two things separate relates to the work I do. I don’t think I would have anything interesting to write about if I didn’t give myself time to have a life, to hang out with my friends or read a book or travel someplace I’ve always wanted to see. It can be a very odd or unreal lifestyle being a musician, going from one hotel room to the next.”

She’s not fond of being famous. When Tracy sang “Talkin’ Bout A Revolution’” on the Nov. 2, 2020, episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, it was a big deal. Her previous televised performance was on a 2015 episode of The Late Show with David Letterman. Despite all her renown and respect, she never really has gotten the hang of fame. “Being in the public eye and under the glare of the spotlight was, and it still is, to some extent, uncomfortable for me,” she told the Irish Times in 2015, “but there are some ways by which everything that has happened in my life has prepared me for this career. But I am a bit shy. … I have this personality that is a bit on the reserved side and which had never really sought out the limelight. That has made me perhaps not the ideal person for this job.”

Nicolas Cage’s National Treasure goes viral after users compare it to the Capitol Hill insurrection

Wednesday was marked by a mob of pro-Trump supporters breaking through a police barricade to storm the Capitol Building in Washington, DC.

But Twitter users trying to make sense of the Capitol’s lax security were reminded of Nicolas Cage’s 2004 film National Treasure.

The action–adventure movie and its 2007 sequel became fodder for memes and jokes about how easy it would be to break into the meeting place of the United States Congress and the seat of the legislative branch of the U.S. federal government.

Cinematic parallels: Twitter users were out in force with jokes about the insurrection by a pro-Trump mob at the Capitol Building in Washington, DC, on Wednesday as they compared it to Nicolas Cage’s 2004 action–adventure film National Treasure

National Treasure features a plot line in which Cage’s character is determined to steal the Declaration Of Independence, as it has a treasure map hidden on the back (though not in real life).

Social media users started pointing out how difficult it was to steal the document in the film, compared to how easy it was for armed rioters to breach the Capitol Building’s defenses.

One Twitter user joked that the riots could provide the ‘Best premise for National Treasure 3.’

They also shared a meme with a still of Cage from the first film saying, ‘I’m going to steal the Declaration Of Independence.’

The meme added the text: ‘When you notice that all the cops in Washington DC are distracted by rioters.’

Now's the their chance: One person shared a National Treasure meme and joked that the best time to steal the Declaration of Independence was while police were occupied

Others joked that the lengths Cage’s character went to steal the document from the National Archives weren’t believable anymore.

‘I am no longer impressed that Nicholas Cage managed to steal the Declaration of Independence,’ joked Adam Herman on Twitter.

Another user wrote that, ‘Now is the perfect time to steal the declaration of independence [sic].’

‘STEAL THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE IT HAS A MAP,’ wrote another user.

‘Starting to think it’d actually be incredibly easy to steal the declaration of independence,’ chimed in another person.

One person enthused about a third film in the series.

‘Oh Sweet, they finally starting filming National Treasure 3!!’ they wrote to caption a photo of the pro-Trump mob while adding the hashtag, ‘#AssaultOnDemocracy.’

‘Suddenly the security violations in National Treasure seem less like a Disney movie and more like a Wednesday,’ mused one user.

Others joked about Cage as if he was his film character.

‘this is probably the best time for Nicolas cage to steal the Declaration of Independence [sic],’ one person joked.

Actor Devon Sawa wrote: ‘Nicolas Cage spent an entire hundred million dollar movie trying to steal the declaration of independence and yet a bunch of mega a**holes were able to walk right in that place. This is why I have trust issues with Hollywood.’

‘Thinking about how much Nicolas Cage had to go through in National Treasure to break into the federal buildings and then how easy it was today,’ one Tweet read.

Another user poked fun at some attempts to downplay the potential crimes the insurrectionists might have committed.

‘It’s a big misunderstanding. They were all just doing National Treasure.’

As a result, court documents stated Erika may be ordered to stop re-selling her expensive clothes on sites like Vestaire.

The “XXPEN$IVE” singer looked sensational in her first outing since filing on Nov. 21. She rocked $12,000 Fendi fur jacket and fitted skirt as she approached Santa Monica restaurant Fia for a night out prior to Los Angeles County’s most recent restaurant closure.

“I’ve been recording a lot of new music for the album. Having the team here with me creating has been amazing,” he told Complex in October 2020. “We have been experimenting with some new sounds and are really excited for the world to hear,” he said. Post’s forthcoming music will make up his fourth studio album after he released Hollywood’s Bleeding in September 2019.

Ralph Macchio, 59, recalls the day he met wife Phyllis Fierro, 60

Season three of his show Cobra Kai dropped on Netflix January 1, 2021.

And just seven days after the season’s release, Ralph Macchio chatted about who helps him have balance as a Hollywood actor and a family man – his wife Phyllis Fierro.

Ralph, 59, credits their commitment to each other as the foundation for their 33-year-long marriage, in an interview with People magazine.

Ralph’s approach to Hollywood is ‘one foot in, one foot out.’

The actor, who became a household name in the 1984 movie The Karate Kid, said of Phyllis: ‘Without her and without the foundation and the family we established, “one foot in, one foot out” would have been very, very difficult on my own.’

Adding: ‘Because there would not be balance.’

Ralph and Phyllis met when he was 15 at his cousin’s birthday party, which took place in his grandmother’s basement.

He became a household name at 22 with his role as Daniel LaRusso in the 1984 hit The Karate Kid.

About the birthday party, Ralph said a laugh: ‘This is 1970 or whatever, so this is Cheez Doodles, 7Up, Tootsie Rolls, probably the Ruffles with onion dip.’

Adding: ‘She was a friend of my cousin, and we just smiled and talked and danced a little. Probably the Hustle!’

Ralph and Phyllis are parents to two children: Daniel, 25, and Julie, 28.

The actor says their 33-year-long marriage – a rarity in Hollywood – stems from their commitment.

He continued: ‘We known that we will overcome all because we believe in that, the foundation of that.’

Phyllis is a nurse practitioner and has worked on the front lines amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Ian McKellen reveals he’s ‘so happy’ his X-Men co-star Elliot Page came out as transgender

Ian McKellen reveals he’s ‘so happy’ his X-Men co-star Elliot Page came out as transgender

He’s one of the UK’s most high-profile public figures to come out as gay.

And 32 years after his own acknowledgement of his sexuality, Sir Ian McKellen is praising Elliot Page for announcing last month that he is transgender.

The two worked together on the 2006 Hollywood movie X-Men Last Stand and the British actor told Attitude magazine he’s ‘very happy’ for Page.

Supportive: Sir Ian McKellen, 81, told Attitude magazine that he is ‘so happy’ his former X-Men co-star Elliot Page came out as transgender

Page played Shadowcat in Last Stand that came out the year before his starring role in the indie film Juno put him, then as Ellen Page, on the map.

McKellen, who starred in the X-Men films as Magneto, told the magazine that he is ‘so disappointed’ he failed to realize that the then teenage Page was struggling with sexual identity.

‘I remember Elliot Page, in one of the X-Men, sat as close as we are now. And I had to speak when they’d finished, and I couldn’t hear what they were saying. Nobody could hear what they were saying,’ he recalled.

‘So, I said, ‘Look, if you can’t speak up, would you mind when you’re finished speaking, just dropping your hand so I know when you’ve finished speaking?’

He went on: ‘And then they came out [as gay] years later and suddenly you couldn’t stop them talking. You heard everything.’

McKellen, 81, said: ‘I’m so happy for Elliot. And so disappointed in myself that I didn’t detect what their difficulty was with communicating.’

‘Everything gets better [when you come out] because you get self-confidence’, he explained. ‘You get better in terms of relationships, friends of all sorts, family, if you’re lucky. And in my case, I think in every case, your acting is bound to change and improve.’

McKellen came out in 1988 as a protest against then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s  section 28 that forbade local government and schools from ‘promoting homosexuality’.

Page added: ‘I’ve been endlessly inspired by so many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, your generosity and ceaselessly working to make this world a more inclusive and compassionate place

‘I will offer whatever support I can and continue to strive for a more loving and equal society.’

How Larsa Pippen Feels About Kim Kardashian’s Reported Marriage Struggles After Their Friendship Fallout

Larsa Pippen has said that her friendship with Kim Kardashian was damaged by Kanye West feeling ‘threatened’ by her. We have how she feels about Kimye divorce reports.

Larsa Pippen and Kim Kardashian used to be BFF’s, with the 46-year-old getting invited to all of the best Kar-Jenner parties and vacation getaways. But that came to a halt in the summer of 2020 when Kim and sister Kourtney, 41, unfollowed Larsa on social media and their friendship appeared to be over. Now that there are reports that Kim, 40, has hired an attorney in preparation to divorce husband  Kanye West, 43, Larsa isn’t getting involved with any of the Kimye’s relationship business.

“Larsa plans on staying in her own lane and staying out of other people’s drama in 2021. She’s been too busy working on her Larsa Marie jewelry line, spending time with friends and family, and she isn’t focused on other people’s lives,” a source close to Larsa tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

“Kim and Kanye’s relationship has nothing to with her and she’s making a point to mind her own business,” our insider continues. Larsa said her peace about why she thought their friendship ended during a Nov. 9 Hollywood Raw podcast, where she claimed that Yeezy felt “threatened” by her. “If your husband feels, like, threatened by my relationship with you, then I don’t want to be that person,” the mother of four explained. Larsa even went as far as to claim Kanye “brainwashed” Kim and the Kardashian-Jenner family against her.

“Larsa said what she wanted to during her interview on the Hollywood Raw podcast a few months ago, but that’s the last she plans on discussing anything related to their family anytime soon. She’s moved on and is living her best life,” our source adds.

Larsa and Kim used to make for quite a social team, heading out on glamorous ladies nights out in Miami and Los Angeles. She even made appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. But now Larsa’s building a sweet life of her own in Miami that doesn’t include a Kardashian anywhere in sight. Larsa’s also made big news with her love life, dating much younger NBA player Malik Beasley, 24, despite him having an estranged wife.

”Larsa wants to start riding her own coattails instead of focusing her attention on what Kim and Kanye do. Sure she will know what happens if they decide to divorce like everyone else and she has her own personal feelings on it all. But she would rather focus on her life than to be a footnote on the Kardashian legacy,” a second Larsa insider tells us EXCLUSIVELY.

As we previously reported EXCLUSIVELY, the Kardashians were furious with Larsa’s betrayal, as she was once so deep inside their inner circle. “The family is definitely disappointed and angry Larsa would share what she did in the interview, but not really surprised because they feel like Larsa is just using them to further her career at this point,” adding that “Larsa and Kim especially were extremely close, so it’s sad a friend would do this to a friend.”

A number of celebrities took to social media on Wednesday after supporters of President Donald Trump violently stormed the U.S. Capitol to protest his election loss to President-elect Joe Biden, leading to the death of one woman and politicians scrambling to safety.

Filmmaker Ava DuVernay shared a clip from the day’s events, writing, ‘The language of white supremacy is a language of cowardice disguised as dominance.’

Actor Armie Hammer said, ‘Reported shots fired inside the house chambers. This is why we can’t have nice things, you f***ing mouth breathers who stormed the capital … It’s a good thing this wasn’t a BLM rally or else these a******s would have actual riot police to deal with.’

Other celebs called for the impeachment and removal of Trump, whose Twitter account was suspended in an unprecedented move, amid a series of tweets.

Actor Jeffrey Wright said, ‘Hold on. You mean the “grab ’em by the p****,” d*** joke at a Presidential debate, ‘I could stand in the middle of 5th Ave & shoot somebody,” “Russia, if you’re listening,” “I would like you to do us a favor tho,” “Fellas, I need 11,000 votes.” guy was actually a criminal bum?!!’

Actor Josh Gad wrote, ‘Is there any single reason Donald Trump is not in handcuffs at this very moment? If any other American incited thousands into storming the Capital Building, they would already be behind bars.

‘The “Law and Order” President needs to face both right now.’

Bette Midler said, ‘As my friends have been pointing out, he just did the most treasonous thing EVER. He is a flat-out traitor. I think Twitter would be justified in deleting his account. Forever.’

‘We have required the removal of three @realDonaldTrump Tweets that were posted earlier today for repeated and severe violations of our Civic Integrity Policy,’ the social media company said.

It continued: ‘This means that the account of @realDonaldTrump will be locked for 12 hours following the removal of these Tweets. If the Tweets are not removed, the account will remain locked.’
