Who benefitted, who was held accountable: Rahul Gandhi questions Modi govt on Pulwama attack anniversary
In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi posed three questions to the BJP government on the first anniversary of Pulwama terror attack.
As India remembers Pulwama martyrs on the first anniversary of the terror attack on Friday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the Narendra Modi-led government as he raised questions about the probe.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to Pulwama martyrs and asked about the outcome of inquiry ordered and who all in the government have been held accountable for security lapses.
“Today as we remember our 40 CRPF martyrs in the #PulwamaAttack , let us ask: Who benefitted the most from the attack? What is the outcome of the inquiry into the attack? Who in the BJP Govt has yet been held accountable for the security lapses that allowed the attack?” Rahul Gandhi asked on Twitter on Friday.
In February 2019, over 40 CRPF personnel were killed when their convoy was targeted by the suicide bomber of Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad in Pulwama district. Tensions had flared up between India and Pakistan after the convoy of 78 buses, in which around 2500 CRPF personnel were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar, came under attack.
Nationwide protests had erupted against the dastardly terror attack. Leaders across the party lines and civil society condemned the attack and called for an appropriate response.
