Passengers on an IndiGo flight held placards to protest against Kunal Kamra’s ban by the airline
group of passengers on board an IndiGo flight condemned the airline’s ban on comedian Kunal Kamra for heckling a news anchor. They were photographed holding placards that read, ‘We Condemn IndiGo’s Ban on Kunal Kamra #YouDivideWeMultiply’.
The incident took place on a Varanasi-to-Delhi IndiGo flight. A Facebook user shared the pictures and video of the on-flight protest. In the video, one can see two female passengers condemning the airline’s decision to ban Kunal Kamra with a silent protest.
With 68 shares, the post is swiftly going viral on social media.
In a similar incidence, a woman was seen at an airport with a paper pinned on her clothes that read, “I stand with Kunal Kamra. Dear IndiGo, listen to your captain. Read his Email.”
In another instance, a passenger on board an Air India flight shared this picture on social media which was then re-tweeted by Kamra.
Kunal Kamra has been making headlines ever since he posted a video of him roasting a television anchor on an IndiGo flight. The comedian was banned by IndiGO from flying with the airline for his act, after which, Air India, SpiceJet and Go Air also banned him.
The Captain of the IndiGo flight on which the incident took place said that he was disheartened with his airline’s decision to ban the comedian for six months.
Meanwhile, Kamra slapped a legal notice on IndiGo airlines and sought compensation of Rs 25 lakh for mental harassment.
Recently, a passenger named Kunal Kamra had to go through a long ordeal at Jaipur Airport after Air India cancelled his ticket because of his name.
