Donald Trump Tells Christians: ‘In 4 Years, You Won’t Have to Vote Again’

In a recent statement, Trump said, “In four years, you won’t have to vote again; we’ll have it so well fixed that you won’t need to.”

Republican nominee Donald Trump told Christians that if they vote for him in the November presidential elections, he will ensure everything is so well-managed that they won’t need to vote again. Speaking at a Florida event organized by the conservative group Turning Point Action, Trump said:

“Christians, you have to get out and vote. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, and you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. I love you, Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you; get out, you’ve got to get out and vote. In four years, you won’t have to vote again; we’ll have it fixed so well you won’t need to vote.”

It’s unclear what the former president, who faces charges related to the 2020 Capitol riots and allegations of attempting to overturn his 2022 election loss, meant by these remarks.

The Kamala Harris campaign has not commented directly on the remarks, but spokesperson Jason Singer characterized Trump’s overall speech as “bizarre” and “backward-looking”.

Earlier, Trump had claimed he would act as a dictator for a day to close the southern border with Mexico if he returns to power in November. He later downplayed these remarks, describing them as a joke.

The US presidential race has tightened following President Joe Biden’s replacement by his deputy, Kamala Harris, as the Democratic nominee last week. Recent opinion polls indicate that Harris’s entry into the race has largely erased Trump’s lead.
