Maharashtra’s PWD minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Chavan Corona positive, Uddhav government’s second Kovid-19 infected minister
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Minister of Public Works Department in Uddhav Thackeray government, Ashok Chavan Corona has been infected. He is the second Corona-infected minister in the Maharashtra government.
Senior Congress leaders regularly traveled from Mumbai to their home district in Marathwada. Health department officials said that a few days ago Ashok Chavan was found infected with the corona virus. He was earlier kept at home quarantine and is now undergoing treatment at a hospital in Nanded. His condition is stable.
Earlier, Nationalist Congress Party leader and Housing Minister in Maharashtra government Jitendra Ahwad was also confirmed to be infected with Corona virus. He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai for more than two weeks and has now returned home from infection.

Significantly, Maharashtra has the most corona patients in the country. The total number of corona infected here has crossed 50 thousand. So far, 14600 people in Corona have been freed, while 1635 people have lost their lives.
