Bella Hadid Went Pantsless in the Middle of NYC But Didn’t Forget Her Earmuffs

No pants? No problem. It’s fashion, bestie. According to supermodel Bella Hadid, the no-pants look that defined most of our wardrobes in 2020 is still in style, and it’s totally okay to leave the house without them, too!

On Wednesday, December 29, Hadid shared a series of photos on Instagram wearing a no-pants look in the dead of winter. The outfit includes an oversized neon green and yellow sweatshirt with a swirly tie-dye effect. To make up for the fact that her legs were bare post-Christmas, she wore a quilted black vest on top of the sweatshirt.

Hadid may have left her pants at home, but she didn’t hold back on the accessories at all. She covered her ears with large, fluffy royal blue earmuffs, held a large black toe bag, and wore practical black sneakers with some green detail that matched the oversized sweatshirt. Hadid also wore some adorable glasses with black and white details in the frames to complete the wild, smart and adventurous look and kept her hair in a low, braided ponytail.

Earlier in December, Bella Hadid joined the VS Collective, a group of ambassadors for Victoria’s Secret who will champion the brand’s new mission to embrace diversity and female empowerment. Hadid previously walked in Victoria’s Secret fashion show for three years from 2016 to 2018, but in 2020 she came forward as one of many models who experienced harassment and inappropriate misconduct by Ed Razek, a former top executive at L Brands, the parent company of Victoria’s Secret. In December, Hadid spoke to Marie Claire about returning to the brand.

“What magnetized me to coming back was them coming to me and really proving to me that, behind the scenes, Victoria’s Secret has changed so drastically,” she said. “There was a type of way that, I think, a lot of us women who used to work with Victoria’s Secret felt. And now, six of the seven [VS] board members are all female. And there’s new photoshoot protocols that we have. So a lot has changed. I feel like the world really deserves a brand like Victoria’s Secret and to also feel represented by it as well.”
