New Delhi, January 27

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha, an umbrella body of agitating farmer unions, on Wednesday announced to postpone the march to Parliament on February 1 after Tuesday’s violence in Delhi during the tractor parade.

Instead, they would observe fast and hold meetings across the country on the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30.

Balbir Singh Rajewal regretted the incident that took place at Red Fort.

They blamed Deep Sidhu and Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee for the unfortunate incident.

The morcha said they will expose the “conspiracy” of the government.

The farmer leaders added that several of their protesting farmers are still missing.

“FIRs have been registered against several innocent farmers also. It was a conspiracy to break the brotherhood among the farmers of Haryana and Punjab, as earlier the Haryana government had played SYL card to divide the farmers,” they added.
