President Joe biden signed 10 executive orders to strengthen the fight against the coronavirus, among which it indicates that all foreign travelers must show a negative test to COVID-19 before moving to the United States and following the quarantine rules on US soil.
“This Executive Order also requires international travelers to submit a negative COVID-19 test before departing for the United States.”, indicates. “And that they comply with the CDC guidelines for self-isolation and self-quarantine upon arrival.”
The president indicates in his guidelines that domestic travelers must wear masks at airports and other means of public transport, including trains, airplanes, maritime vessels and intercity buses.
“The Executive Order also calls for the consideration of additional public health measures on domestic travel and consultation with foreign governments and other stakeholders to implement public health measures for safe travel.”, indicates.
The measure may lead to other directives on land and sea borders.
The plan against the pandemic of Biden targets the most impacted communities, including Latinos and Blacks, in addition to prioritizing detection, treatment and vaccination.
It is still unclear how many of these measures will be immediate and which will depend on his $ 1.9 trillion anti-pandemic bill sent to Congress.
