Train services canceled till 30th April, IRCTC will give full refund of booked tickets
new Delhi. Indian Railway Tourism and Catering Corporation (IRCTC), a subsidiary of Indian Railways, has decided to suspend its train services till 30 April. Currently, IRCTC operates three private trains in the country. After this decision, these three trains are being suspended till April 30.
Officials have informed about this on Tuesday 7 April. Bookings for these three trains were previously closed only from March 25 to April 15 due to the nationwide lockdown, but booking tickets for the journey was allowed after the lockdown period. These three trains run by IRCTC are Kashi Mahakal Express running on Varanasi-Indore route, Lucknow-New Delhi Tejas and Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas.
Officials said that the decision not to run trains till April 30 was taken keeping in mind that the cases of corona virus in the country are increasing day by day. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) officials said that all passengers who booked tickets during that period will get full refund.
