Central government ordered to prepare 30 thousand ventilators immediately
new Delhi. The Union Health Ministry has told today on Friday 27 March that 75 new cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours due to Corona virus, while four of them have died. Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Union Health Ministry said that we have ordered a PSU to make 10,000 ventilators.
In addition, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has also requested to purchase 30,000 additional ventilators within one to two months. On our request, about 1.4 lakh companies have asked their employees to work from home.
Punya Salila Srivastava, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs said that the states and union territories have been requested to make arrangements for food, water and sanitation for the migrant laborers. Hotels and rented accommodation must be open and functional, taking precautions against all corona viruses.
R Ganga Ketkar of the Indian Council of Medical Research told that there is a possibility of starting its participation soon in the solidarity test being launched by the World Health Organization (WHO). At first we did not do this, because our number was very less.
