Lockdown: 10 friends gangraped a girl who asked for help to return home, remained lying unconscious overnight in the forest
A shameful incident has occurred in the lockdown in Dumka, Jharkhand. After the lockdown here, 10 youth gang-raped a 16-year-old student of Inter returning to the village. The incident took place on March 24 in Gadiapani forest of Gopikandar. The gangrape was revealed when the teenager gave his statement to the Gopichandar police station. The student told that a friend and his friend called for help raped, then eight other youths arrived and carried out the gang rape. She lay unconscious in the forest overnight.

Vehicles were also not moving. She left Scooty on 24 March with one of her friends. Saheli left near Karudih turn of Gopikandar and went to her house towards Pakur district.
In a statement to the police, the teenager told that she had called her family members before reaching Karudih. Even after evening, if the family did not reach, then one of his friends Vicky aka Prasannajit Hansda called. The youth is a resident of Dadangkhauni in Gopichandar block. He immediately reached Karudih turn with a bike. The young man had also arrived with a friend. All three got out of a bike. Meanwhile, Vicky took the bike on the other rough path instead of going home.
When the teenager told Vicky that this was not the way to go home, he said that the checking was going on on the way, so they were going home through the rough route. After going some distance, Vicky stopped the bike near the deserted forest and said that he had defecation. The teenager along with her unknown friend stood in the deserted forest for a long time. Meanwhile, Vicky reached and raped her along with his friend. After raping, eight youths came wearing masks and put knives on their throats, threatening to kill them. After this, all the youths took turns in gang rape.
YS Ramesh, SP, Dumka says that there has been a gang rape incident with the student. An FIR has been registered against the accused. Nobody has been arrested yet. It has also been directed to investigate the matter on the lines of Ramgarh gang rape case.
Teenager lying unconscious in the forest overnight
The girl fainted during the gang rape. The next day, on the morning of 25 March, when she came on the road crawling in some way from the forest, the villagers saw and informed the family. On the occasion, mother, father and brother came and picked her up and took them home. Bhai informed the police of Gopikander police station. Police of Gopikander police station admitted the teenager to the Medical College Hospital in Dumka.
