Simon Cowell is picture of health less than a year after nearly being paralysed
Simon Cowell looks to be back to health after being spotted heading out with son Eric nine months after an awful accident nearly left him paralysed.
The X Factor boss, 61, was snapped enjoying a day out with his seven-year-old son in Malibu, California.
The music mogul was seen wearing sunglasses and his trademark fitted sweater along with loose jeans and black boots.
Eric sported a red and blue patterned shirt and light blue jeans, while the child’s mum Lauren Silverman, 43, donned a casual khaki green shirt and indigo jeans.
The trio headed for a bite to eat at a fancy spot in the upper class area of Malibu.
The pics come after Simon was spotted riding an electric bike for the first time since injuring his back almost a year ago.
The X Factor boss, rode the electrical bike with Eric, and Lauren in Malibu, California.
He faced six hours of surgery following the incident in August last year.
Last August, Simon was rushed to hospital where he had six hours of surgery after falling off his bike.
The star shattered his spine in three places after the incident on his CAB Recon e-bike, that can reach speeds of 60mph.
A source told The Mirror at the time: “I spoke to him before the surgery and he was in incredible, ridiculous amounts of pain and also in shock.
“His back was broke in several places, but he is actually very lucky.
Simon broke his silence on the horror accident back in February on US TV show Extra.
He said: “It could have been a lot worse. When I saw the X-ray, I really nearly could have smashed my spine to pieces, so I literally wouldn’t have been able to walk.
“I knew I’d broken my back the minute I landed. It was really, really kind of sudden and it hurt.”
