Priyanka shuts down journalist who asked her credentials to announce Oscar nominations
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced the Oscars 2021 nominations on March 15. The actress has now responded to a journalist who asked if they were ‘qualified enough’ for the task.
Priyanka Chopra is one of the most successful actresses right now, with a strong body of work in Bollywood as well as Hollywood. So, when an Australian journalist questioned her credentials to announce Oscar 2021 nominations, the actress did not mince her words while schooling him.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced the 93rd Academy Awards nominations on March 15. Peter Ford, an Australian journalist, asked whether her contribution to movies was enough to make her qualified for the task. His tweet read, “No disrespect to these two but I’m not sure their contribution to the movies qualifies them to be announcing Oscar nominees (sic).”
While responding to him, Priyanka Chopra shared a run-through of her extensive screen credits. She tweeted, “Would love your thoughts on what qualifies someone. Here are my 60+ film credentials for your adept consideration (sic).”
Priyanka Chopra’s fans hailed her as queen for her classy response. Apart from being the first Indian to present Oscar nominations, the actress’s production The White Tiger also received an Oscar nod in the best adapted screenplay category.
