Apple to close its Texas stores temporarily due to coronavirus | The State

Manzana will close its stores located in Texas due to the increase in cases of COVID-19. The company’s branches located in the NorthPark Center, Galleria Dallas, Fort Worth’s University Park Village and Southlake Town Square shopping centers in the city of Dallas they were the first to close their doors in the state.
On the website the company reported that the branches will be “temporarily closed” and invites customers to shop online and make contactless deliveries.
The technology stores located in the cities of Austin, San antonio and Houston “They will temporarily close soon,” the website says, allowing customers access to the Genius Bar until Monday, January 18.
“Due to current COVID-19 conditions in some of the communities we serve, we are temporarily closing stores in Texas,” the company said in a statement. “We are taking this step with great caution as we closely monitor the situation and hope to have our teams and customers back as soon as possible.”
In the country, Apple has temporarily closed stores in the states of North Carolina and Georgia. In December, the 53 branches that exist in California also opted to close due to the recent increase in coronavirus cases.

As of Thursday, Dallas County reported 1,993 new coronavirus cases and 17 deaths. Among other measures, stores and shopping centers are operating at a capacity limit of 50%.
Other companies like Walmart have closed some stores in Garland, Rockwall and Royse City where they will do a deep cleaning. For its part the chain Starbucks reduced the hours of its coffee shops in North Dallas and Addison.
